Christmas 2008

Christmas was so fun this year. Not only were the boys totally into it every step of the way, Kate was starting to get into it too. She wasn't at all a fan of sitting on Santa's lap, but she talked about him and wanted to read her Santa books. Of course, it was the boys that knew who was going to be eating the cookies we were making, but Kate always wants to be a part of anything involving food!


Christmas eve, we opened gifts with my parents at their place. It brought back vivid memories of Christmas back at my house as I watched the boys open up GI Joe's from Grandma and Grandpa. Seemed like I was looking back in time at Mike and I on Xmas Eve, getting ready to setup elaborate battle plans between Cobra and the Joes.


The cute little girl in her pretty Christmas dress carrying her brand new dolly from Grandma and Grandpa was not a part of any of my old Christmas memories, but I suspect it might trigger a thought or two for my wife. I also know that it will continue to be part of great new memories.


Christmas morning was fun as the kids dug into their gifts from Santa. A sense of wonder from kate....


was matched only by the thrill of getting "what I've wanted my whole life"....


and the not too distant "heheheheheheheh" of the gift they wanted but weren't sure Santa would bring.


We had a great time, and the kids certainly enjoyed themselves. Now its onto another year of fun and firsts.
