Snow day!!!!

An unexpected snow day meant some time for fun in the snow. We met the neighborhood gang in the green space and took advantage of the snow. Pictures and captions galore out on Picasa. Everything from sleds to swings to forts to snowboards to moms sledding (!?!) to snowball fights. Here's a couple of teasers!

Time for family photos

Beth and I were looking through our pictures and realized that we hadn't had family portaits in a long time, and certainly not since Kate was born. So, time to pick out a few new outfits, clean everybody up (yours truly included), and shuttle everybody on over for an hour of picture taking joy. Fortunately, it actually went really well and we got some really great pictures. Not much to say, as there aren't too many funny stories to come from a photo shoot, but here's some great shots, and more to go with them out on Picasa.

Not just another mob movie....

Mid January brought the chance to play godfather for my nephew. Aidan's a handsome little devil and we had a lot of fun visiting him and the rest of the family.

Parents and godparents and the handsome young man dressed and ready to go.

Kate figured if Daddy was getting all dressed up, she better dress nice too. Thanks to Cousin Janice and Aunt Rhodie she had the perfect outfit for the occasion.

A couple more pictures of Aidan and his proud parents, and a couple of Kate all dolled up. Aidan saw enough flashes and camera lenses to last a lifetime, so I'm sure he's relieved its finally calmed down a bit... :-)

Power Ranger Birthday fun

So with weeks passed by and another birthday upon us, its time to share some of the fun from Owen's birthday before I start feeling guilty about not posting pictures from Patrick's.

Owen wanted a Power Ranger Birthday, so the whole gang showed up dressed in full Ranger gear. Everybody lined up and gave me a good "Hi - YAH!" for the camera.

Next I arranged a Power Ranger "training course" in the basement using some tunnels, ottomans and pillows as obstacles, and punching bag at the end to display their Power Ranger ninja-like skills. Yes, I have learned from previous pinata disasters not to place myself too close to swinging / punching / kicking children in the throws of birthday sugar so that I don't end up on a funniest videos show. Here's Owen leading the way through the obstacle course.

Patrick soon followed through the course, reveling in the tumbling and action stunts required....

More pictures from the party, including a certain cute baby enjoying her christmas gifts on picasa.
